Forest City Ratner has developed hundreds of properties throughout the U.S focusing on retail, office and multifamily development, with a distinct focus mixed use transit-oriented projects. On September 25th, 2014, the Baker Program in Real Estate will welcome Kate Bicknell (BS ’99) to Cornell for the Distinguished Speaker Series. Forest City Ratner was selected to be the master developer of the first phase of the CornellTech project which is scheduled to open in 2017 on Roosevelt Island. The project will include over two million square feet of space in a series of highly integrated buildings. The project is designed to be an extremely innovative and diverse mix of academic facilities, commercial businesses, research and development buildings and living space. “You constantly hear of the large scale development Forest City Ratner is working on in New York City.
