3e6f1c134b974429a436b95e5e64c52bEvery year, the Cornell Real Estate Conference in New York City brings together esteemed individuals to discuss important and urgent topics affecting the real estate business. This year, Disruption is the theme. This is why we are proud to announce that Michael Gross (SHA `97), Vice Chairman for WeWork, will be featured as one of three keynote speakers. As an integral part of WeWork’s growth strategy, Mr. Gross will be able to opine on WeWork’s disruptive strategy, projecting his analysis for future of the shared economy.

This will be an exciting keynote, as there are few companies which have provided more forward vision to the real estate industry than WeWork. WeWork provides shared workspace as well as services for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small businesses. Founded in 2010, it has quickly expanded to over 60 co-working locations and is currently entering markets such as Berlin, Seoul, Mexico City, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The company is also in the early stages of its shared living concept called WeLive. With an estimated value of $10 Billion, WeWork has captured a large share of the office lease market by breaking through limiting preconceived boundaries, and has rocketed its market share into being considered as one of the most garnered innovators.
