Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration’s Center for Real Estate Finance (CREF) in conjunction with Cornell’s Baker Program in Real Estate’s Distinguished Speaker Series is pleased to feature Cheryl Boyer (SHA ’87) as a guest for the 2017 WX Panel Discussion, a panel of women executives who will share their experiences and strategies for achieving success, as well as some of the unique challenges they have faced as women working in the real estate industry. Boyer has served as Chief Operating Officer of Fulcrum Hospitality since 2014. Prior to joining Fulcrum Hospitality, Boyer served as the President of Lodging Advisors. Boyer has also held positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Hospitality & Leisure financial advisory practice and Hotel Partners, Inc, in addition to consulting with Landauer Associates and Laventhol & Horwath.

Outside of work, is a member of the Hospitality Asset Managers Association, is a member of the Lodging Industry Investment Council, is a board member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants, is Regional Vice President of the Cornell Hotel Society, and is a member of the President’s Council of Cornell Women. Boyer graduated from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration.

As a boutique operating partner, asset manager, and transaction advisor in the lodging and gaming space, Fulcrum Hospitality has principal investments in hospitality assets, maintains acquisitions relationships with investment banks and institutional private equity firms, and asset manages or advises on over 10,000 hotel rooms worldwide.

The Baker Program is pleased to welcome Boyer back to campus. Boyer’s background in providing consulting and asset management to institutional investors, lenders, and other key industry players for over twenty five years both at Fulcrum Hospitality prior to joining the organization will undoubtedly provide key insights for students and faculty alike.
