Jennifer Spritzer

Jennifer Spritzer is a student at Cornell University, where she is pursuing both a Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate from the Baker Program in Real Estate and an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management. Jennifer oversees the Cornell Real Estate Review blog as Executive Editor. She also served as the Baker Student Organization President, the Cornell Real Estate Women Vice President, and the Associate Real Estate Council Vice President, and is a Forté Fellow with the Johnson School. Jennifer previously worked at KW Commercial in Indianapolis as a Broker Associate. This past summer she worked at Highwoods Properties, a REIT that focuses on office investments and development across the Eastern seaboard. The summer before that she worked as an Acquisitions and Asset Enhancement Intern with The Dilweg Companies, an investment firm that focuses on office in the Southeastern United States. Jennifer graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a B.S. in Business, majoring in Entrepreneurship and International Business and receiving a minor in Russian. She has studied multiple languages, including Spanish, French, Russian, and some Chinese. She is interested in pursuing a career in real estate investments.
David Simon

Cornell University’s Center for Real Estate and Finance is pleased to feature David Simon as one of this year’s panelists for the 2nd Annual Titans of Real Estate conference. Mr. Simon has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Simon Property Group since 2007, and has been the CEO of Simon Property Group since 1995. Prior to his current role Mr. Simon was President of Simon Property Group from 1993 to 1996, beginning his term in 1993 by leading the efforts to take Simon Property Group public with the largest IPO as a real estate stock offering at the time.

 

Mr. Simon served as the Vice President of Wasserstein Perella & Company from 1988 to 1990 and an Associate at First Boston Corp. from 1985 to 1988. In the past five years, he previously served as a director of Washington Prime Group (formerly WP Glimcher). Mr. Simon also serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Klépierre, a publicly-traded, Paris-based retail real estate company. Mr. Simon is also a member and former chairman of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) board of governors and is a former trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

 

Mr. Simon has received numerous industry honors, and in 2000, he was inducted into the Indiana University Kelley School of Business Academy of Alumni Fellows. In 2010, 2013 and 2016, the Harvard Business Review recognized Mr. Simon as one of the world’s best-performing CEOs. In 2013, Mr. Simon was recognized as one of the World’s Best CEOs by Barron’s Magazine.
