Adam Metz, a veteran of real estate investing, is a co-chair for the 34th Annual Cornell Real Estate Conference. Mr. Metz is the Managing Director and Head of International Real Estate at The Carlyle Group. At Carlyle, he overlooks investments assets ranging across Asia, Europe and US, for its 10 funds. Prior to Carlyle, Mr. Metz was Senior Advisor to TPG Capital’s Real Estate Group where he helped build a commercial real estate investment management business. Before TPG, he was the CEO for General Growth Properties, where he steered the company through difficult times and produced 906% returns in the process. Before joining GGP, Mr. Metz co-founded Polaris Capital. LLC a retail real estate investment company that owns assets across the US.
Metz received his Masters of Management degree from Northwestern University and his Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, where he serves as an advisory board member.
