2016 Cornell Real Estate Conference: David Hodes Managing Partner Hodes Weill & Associates

David HodesDavid R. Hodes is a Managing Partner of Hodes Weill & Associates. Previously, David was a Managing Director of Credit Suisse, based in New York. David joined Credit Suisse First Boston in November 2000 when the firm merged with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ). He co-founded Credit Suisse’s Real Estate Private Fund Group (REPFG) in 2000 at DLJ, where he was responsible for strategic oversight and management. REPFG was a dominant real estate private funds placement agent with David at the helm; it aggregated more than $40 billion on behalf of fund sponsors. In 2008, David assumed the additional responsibility of co-managing Credit Suisse’s Real Estate Investment Group (REIG), which included the firm’s real estate investment businesses within the Alternative Investment Group.

Prior to joining DLJ, David was a Principal of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter’s real estate investment banking business and was the Director of Private Real Estate Capital Markets. Before joining Morgan Stanley, David was a Principal of The Yarmouth Group from 1985 through 1996, where he was also a Member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. David received a BA from Brandeis University. He is the Co-Chair of the Board of Overseers of the International Business School at Brandeis University, where he has also been a frequent guest lecturer.
