WX, in association with the Cornell Center for Real Estate and Finance, Cornell Real Estate Women, and Cornell’s Baker Program in Real Estate, presents WX: New York Women Executives in Real Estate Panel Discussion. WX is an invitation-only association of executive-level women actively engaged in the commercial real estate industry in New York. WX’s diverse membership includes owners, developers, brokers, architects, engineers, bankers, and lawyers. Distinguished executives from the association will share their experiences and strategies for achieving success, as well as some of the unique challenges they have faced as women working in the industry. The discussion will be moderated by Mary MacAusland, senior lecturer at the School of Hotel Administration.
Cornell is pleased to feature Amy Yao (SHA ’13) as part of the 2017 WX Panel Discussion. Yao currently serves as the analyst in the tactical direct investments group for J.P. Morgan Asset Management in the Global Real Assets department. In this capacity, Yao works closely with internal investment, business development, and client services teams on the acquisition and capitalization of direct and co-investment opportunities, across a global platform of real estate infrastructure and maritime investment strategies.
Prior to working at J.P. Morgan, Yao served as an Investment Analyst with Madison International Realty, a Global Real Estate and Development Analyst with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, a Development Analyst with Related, and a Sales and Marketing Analyst Loews Corporation. Yao graduated from the School of Hotel Administration with a degree in real estate finance.
The Baker Program is pleased to welcome Yao back to campus. Yao’s background in international investments and development will undoubtedly provide key insights for students and faculty alike.
