We are privileged to host Ms. Susan Swanezy – Partner at Hodes Weill & Associates for the WX: New York Women in Real Estate Panel Discussion. Hodes Weill & Associates is a real estate advisory boutique with a focus on the investment and funds management industry. Founded in 2009, Hodes Weill* provides institutional capital raising for funds, transactions, co-investments and separate accounts; M&A, strategic and restructuring advisory services; and fairness and valuation analyses.
Prior to Hodes Weill & Associates, Susan was a Managing Director and Head of Distribution for Credit Suisse’s Real Estate Investments Group. Susan was also a Managing Director at Stockbridge Capital Partners focused on client relations and business development. From 2002 to 2007, Susan was a Partner in Deutsche Bank RREEF’s Client Relations Group, where she worked with institutional investors across a variety of real estate investment strategies. Until 2001, she was an investment banker with Deutsche Bank’s real estate investment banking group, the successor entity to BT Alex Brown, providing both public and private debt and equity related products to REITs, private real estate operators and real estate funds.
Susan is a current member of PREA, ULI and WX Women Executives in Real Estate where she was the former President and was honored as WX Woman of the Year in 2014. She serves on the Board of Directors of AvalonBay Communities, Inc. (NYSE: AVB). We hope to have insights on achieving phenomenal success in real estate investments from Susan at the panel discussion.
